Tres Ríos’ Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine from the Santa Isabel region of Chihuahua. It is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and has an intense red color with aromas of black fruits, spices and oak. The palate is medium to full-bodied with firm, balanced tannins.

VINEYARD PROFILE

  • Characteristics:

    This area is nourished by the fresh waters of a river that originates in the mountains, surrounded by pure air and moderate winds. It experiences well-defined climatic seasons, allowing plants to rest deeply during winter. This favors the natural absorption of nutrients, as the semi-desert environment offers warm, sunny, and clear days, coupled with cool nights. The resulting thermal amplitude, exceeding 10°C, promotes optimal color development and aroma absorption.

    Mountainous Zone

  • Soil type:

    1.5 hectares of calcareous soils along the banks of the San Pedro River, which flows into the Conchos River, eventually merging with the río Bravo (Bravo river).

Prepared by

Fermentation using the classic method with moderate maceration, strictly controlled at temperatures between 18°C and 25°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with a medium toast for first-use barrels. Racking and natural clarification occur by suspending solids at temperatures below 18°C. The wine is aged in the bottle for 7 months at 17°C. Filtration is performed from 1 micron to 0.65 microns.

VINEYARD PROFILE

  • Characteristics:

    Vineyard with 13-year-old French-origin vines. Planting density: 2,850 plants/ha, with a 3×1.20 planting frame. Managed under the Royat system with drip irrigation, the annual cycle runs from April to September, preventing early and late frosts through controlled irrigation. Protected with anti-bird and anti-hail netting to ensure a careful and calm veraison, enhancing the quality of each bunch.
